i wanted to hate this so bad...but i couldn't.
it's brilliance is undeniable.
it's not particularly fun, so i don't know if i could sit through it again...but it's still remarkable.
daniel day lewis is amazing.
the cinematography is stunning.
the score (by jonny greenwood) is sometimes intrusive, but mostly pitch perfect and haunting.
